History

The first mention of skvoše in Ukraine appeared in early 2000-ies in 2003 year in Kyiv hosted the first individual tournament. However, the Ukrainian athletes before they began performing at various international tournaments. Barely in the same 2005 year was registered Ukrainian Squash Federation, as our players gained the right to participate at European Championships, who oversees the European Federation (ESF). Over the last decade has not been a single year, whenever men's national team has not played to be on Team Championships. Twice played at the continental Championship and women. And let the worldwide success of our modest skvošistov, each time they managed to "make some noise" and thwart the cheering bleachers.

What's interesting, the first European Championship for us has gone before, than a national championship of Ukraine, which the, on the idea of, and had to determine the best country skvošistov (It was made possible only after the recognition of the FSO Ministry of sports of Ukraine). In Amsterdam then went to those players, who introduced the sport to Ukraine-future winners CHU-2006 Alexander Moloduha, Roman Dolynych, Dmitry Shcherbakov and acceding thereto Sergey Zakomlistov with Ilya Oniško, have become pioneers of our country at the continental Championship. In its Group F opening match they defeated the Russians, and then lost all other meetings, finishing the penultimate, twentieth place. However, it has already begun.

In subsequent years,, Despite the development of domestic schools of squash and popularization of this sport, Ukrainian national team continued to balance in the area of the twentieth place. Double down below, but more often raised by a couple steps up. Ukrainian squash veterans gradually gave way to more energetic Artem Šandybinu, Ruslan Soročinskomu, Constantine Rybal'chenko, and then with Valeriy Podvornomu Khvedaruk Denis. As fifth rackets joined the Alex Kowalski, the later junior Ageres. The expense at that time still young blood in the 2010 year we first became the eighteenth, and in 2014 year does the seventeenth. By that time, the ESF has finally decided on a formula for holding the European Championships, dividing all teams in three divisions with rotation between them-were stable and participants of the second division. Only once the Ukrainians left it, but they immediately and since then more your level does not weaken.

At the junction of 2010-IES also held parallel to the so-called European Nations Cup teams, more representing the third division-team "were filling their coffers hand in anticipation of future games on old World Championship and raised the team spirit. In no time we won this tournament, and in 2010 year, speaking of two compositions, took two sets of medals. However, a few years later, this Championship was abolished, and all the preparations of the Ukrainian team was aimed exclusively at the official European Championship.
