Birmingham University: “Our squash program has players from Egypt, Belgium, Canada, Kenya and we are pleased to welcome Ukrainian players to the university,” says Jon Tate.
“We want to get as many (no limit or quota) as possible of the best squash players who are available and are ready to study. We will invite the best students for an interview and, based on the results of the interview, will be able to offer scholarships for sports to help them in the costs of continuing doing sports while studying at the university.Note that these awards are sports awards, not academic awards, that is, receiving one of these awards will not help reduce the academic fees here.
- What are the requirements for admission that you put to applicants, what should you prepare for in order to be able to study at the University of Birmingham?
“With regard to academic eligibility and criteria for student athletes, there is no single standard measure established (for example, the SAT score used in the USA). Each faculty at the University of Birmingham sets its own academic admission standards. For international students, a university as a rule, develops a proposal for recounting points from what they think is necessary to study a particular course, for example, Computer Science or International Business, and this conversion of points is based on courses that students are currently studying in the respective countries, and also on the grades that the university expects to be able to achieve in these courses / exams in order to provide space for study in the chosen field.
