Laura Massaro: I first took part in the team championship in 2007 in Riccione. And after that - as part of the English national team, took part in all subsequent competitions. In addition to tournaments in Aix-en-Provence - 2010, Espoo - 2011, Helsinki - 2017.

- What experience did you gain by participating in the European Championships?
Laura Massaro: I learned a lot. I was still a junior when I started playing for England. Participating in European tournaments has helped me deal with anxiety and train harder to help my team.
The competition helped me understand what it was like to be part of a team…. At first it was not so difficult. As the game improved, the pressure increased: I played under number №1. Then I learned to be the captain of the team and responsibly prepare for difficult matches.
Daryl Selby: It's great to play for your country. It's a completely different feeling when you play as part of a team. I learned to deal with anxiety. He also realized that there is a lot that can be done while in the stands, cheering for his players on the court.

Daryl Selby: There have been some amazing events at European championships. The last game in England was extremely special, because it's nice to win at home.
The Squash Federation of Ukraine expresses its gratitude to Laura Massaro and Daryl Selby for the exclusive interview. We hope that very soon we will all meet at the championships in Europe and will be able to communicate live and play our favorite game again - SQUASH!
