German Junior Open 2020: eight juniors in the super series tournament

In 2020, the international super series squash tournament in Germany takes place from February 27 to March 1 in Hamburg. Our juniors start the competition this afternoon.

The German Junior Open 2020 is again included in the top class tournaments of the European Junior ESF table, the so-called Super Series. Thanks to the large participation of players, the tournament in Germany is being held for the 5th anniversary time on the courts of Sportwerk Hamburg.

This year a record number of athletes applied for the tournament - 260 best squash players from 30 countries from around the world, including 8 athletes from Ukraine.

According to the standings of the junior international SS tournament, in individual competitions Ukraine will be represented by members of the junior national team Dmitry Shcherbakov (BU15), Timofey Radionov (BU15) and Velichko Milena (GU15), as well as regular participants in international competitions Kristina Begeba (G13), Oleg Pozdyakov (B17), Tverdokhleb Vladislav (G17), Tymoshchuk Matvey (BU17) and Zrazhevskaya Sofia (G15).

The tournament organizers promise to broadcast live on sportdeutschland.tv.

On the first day of the game, Oleg Pozdnyakov will open the competition, the athlete plays under the 17/32 seeded number. His first opponent will be the Swede Theo Stenlund. We hope that luck will be on our side in the evening.
