Squash tournament of all-Ukrainian scale. How was the Ukrainian Open 2021

The end of the second month of autumn this year was very active for Ukrainian squash players: on October 29-30, the Ukrainian Open 2021 tournament took place in the Grand Prix fitness club in Kiev.
The competitions were held in a one-on-one format in the following categories: professional Men PSA Closed Satellite and Women PSA Closed Satellite, amateur for men and women, and junior for boys and girls under 15 years old.
The winners and awardees are:
First place in the Men PSA Closed Satellite category went to Ahmed Mohamed. The second is Dmitry Shcherbakov, the third is David Glogg.
Natalya Rifa took the first place in the Women PSA Closed Satellite category. The second - Anastasia Kostyukova, the third - Milena Velichko.
Matvey Tymoshchuk took the first place in the "Men Lovers" category. The second is Evgeny Popko, the third is Oleg Goroshotchenko.
Elena Golubitskaya took the first place in the category "Women Lovers". The second is Olga Zadorozhnaya, the third is Ekaterina Solovieva.
Nikita Khlus took the first place in the category "Boys under 15". The second - Artem Panchenko, the third - Daniil Kurilyak.
The first place in the category "Girls under 15" was taken by Anastasia Krikun. The second is Siana Zhileva, the third is Elizaveta Suprun.

The preparation and holding of the event took place in close cooperation with the organizer of this tournament Yevgeny Popko and the Squash Federation of Ukraine. As a result of the competition, a solemn rewarding of the winners and prize-winners in the respective categories with valuable prizes from the organizers and partners of the event took place, as well as the traditional solemn closing of the tournament - Squash Party, this year in Halloween style.
The Ukrainian Open has been held since 2018 and for the fourth time brings together the best squash players from Ukraine and the world. In 2020, the tournament was canceled due to quarantine restrictions. All activities within the framework of the event were carried out in compliance with the current restrictions and recommendations for anti-epidemic measures.
For Ukraine, squash is a relatively new sport, since it was officially recognized only in 2005. At that time, about 6 competitions were organized a year. For 2020-2021 (including quarantine) 76 tournaments were held.
At the end of 2021-beginning of 2022, Ukraine will have many important squash events, including the Ukrainian Junior Open 2022.
