Paderborner and Roehampton are the winners of the European Club Championships-2022

The 33rd European Club and Team Squash Championship has come to an end. We will remind that the competition was held on the territory of the Centro Tecnico Federale Figs in Riccione (Italy) from September 14 to 17, 2022.

In the men's championship, the team Paderborner SC (Germany) won the championship on the basis of total points with a difference of 15 points compared to the team Mulhouse SC (France). In the final, the French led with a score of 2:0 thanks to the game of Mathieu Castagne (3:0 over Simon Rosner) and Borja Golana (3:1 over Rafael Kandra); Victor Bertus (3:0 over Joan Lezo) and world junior champion Rowan Damming (3:1 over Jan Perrina) drew the Paderborner SC team.

The Italian team New Squash Club Catania consisting of Greg Lobban, Rui Soares, Robertino Pezzota, Dimitrii Diamadopoulos and Gusmano Michel won the bronze medal for the first time in the history of the competition. The Italians beat the English club Roehampton for the number of total points earned in the championship.

In the women's championship, the Roehampton Club (England) team consisting of Alison Waters, Case Bartley and Rana Ismail won. The girls finished with a 2-1 win over French team Mulhouse SC (Sarah-Jane Perry, Cara Linku, Lea Barbeau and Taba Tagavi).

Bronze for the Swiss girls of Gigantos Fricktal (Nadia Pfister, Melanie Amrein, Natalie Plein) and an honorable fourth place for the Italian girls from the Squash Italia team (Monica Menegozzi, Christina Tartatone, Flavia Miceli, Gini Yasmin, Tallarico Carola).
